POSITION SUMMARYWe seek a Wastewater Operations Manager (Client Advisor) who will support a program management team at DC Water to advise on operations and maintenance challenges and enhance the reliability of complex and innovative water, wastewater, and collection system projects. He/she will work in a team environment as part of the Greeley and Hansen team based at the client site. The Wastewater Operations Manager will participate in engineering designs, and develop reports for sewer infrastructure renewal and optimization. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES• Coordination with both the internal project team and the client as needed to respond to project needs• Startup assistance of water, wastewater, and related facilities• Field investigations and construction inspection• Troubleshooting of pump stations and other related facilities• Condition assessment of process and buried utility infrastructure• Preparation of field reports and other project correspondence• Mentorship of junior project staffQUALIFICATIONSEducation: Associates degree in Engineering or related field is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in the management and/or operations of municipal water and/or wastewater utility infrastructure.Certifications/Licenses: Relevant construction, operations, and maintenance certifications, (i.e. NICET, PACP, ITCP, confined space) are desirable.SKILLS/COMPETENCIES• Extensive experience in the operations and maintenance of pump stations and other water and/or wastewater process facilities.• Experience operating fully-automated equipment and the use of SCADA controls• Familiarity with asset management concepts, including asset inventory, condition assessment, risk-based project prioritization, and capital improvement planning.• Experience using CMMS and GIS databases.• Experience managing and mentoring other operators or technicians.• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
