We seek a Construction Engineer for the City of Cape Coral, Florida North 2 Utility Expansion Program located in the Fort Myers area. Candidates for this position should have the education, experience, licenses/certifications listed and be able to meet the roles and responsibilities detailed below.
Roles and Responsibilities
Prepared by testing labs that include such items as soil density, soil compaction, concrete compressive strength, asphalt composition and aggregate base course for pavement
Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering with construction management experience required
Experience: 10-15 year experience in the field associated with utility work (i.e. potable water and reclaimed water mains, force mains, gravity sewers and stormwater preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
Professional Engineer (PE) required
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred, but not required
OSHA 10 hr Construction Safety Awareness Certification preferred, but not required
OSHA Confined Space Entry Certification preferred, but not required
ACI Field Technician Certification preferred, but not required
Travel demands: local travel using a vehicle provided by the Company to and from the job site (s), the City offices, the Company’s Fort Myers office and the Construction Field Office during regular working hours. A valid driver’s license will be required. Personal transportation to and from the job site from home will be the employee’s responsibility.
