00940: Finance Director
Office Location:IL - Chicago
  

We seek a Finance Director who will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliation and profit and loss reporting.  The Finance Director will oversee all accounting activities related to income auditing, accounts payable processing, accounts receivable collection, tax compliance and payroll.  This individual will report directly to the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and monitor all financial activity for the firm
  • Manage cash flow
  • Outline and implement firm-wide budget plans
  • Oversee all accounting work and set up internal and external audits to ensure the accuracy of information
  • Use data analysis to strategically forecast financial trends
  • Provide guidance on solid financial decision making to increase profits and minimize lose
  • Provide strategic financial planning advice for long-term growth
  • Establish internal work processes for financial department (including accounting and billing) and monitor their progress
  • Maintain and manage investor client relationships
  • Analyze and interpret financial data and present the information with reports and presentations
  • Stay abreast of current market trends and patterns and act accordingly
  • Assess firm’s spending and work to reduce costs
  • Manage the finance department, and establish training for staff as necessary
  • Oversee international accounting and financial planning
  • Have a clear understanding of and adhere to current laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum:  Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.  MBA preferred. 
  • Minimum of 10 years in a senior finance position and experience in financial forecasting, accounting principles and financial data analysis.  Proficient in Microsoft Suite and other business software
  • Minimum of five years supervisory experience with professional service firms required.
